Help-Us-With-Harry.co.uk - Challenging Behaviour Support for Parents in Oxfordshire
Challenging Behaviour Training for Parents

About the courses
These courses have been running for the past 4 years in Oxfordshire and have been very well received by parents. The course runs over 2 weeks with an additional workshop a short while later, and aims to look at:

  • ways of helping your child calm down
  • preventing further outbursts
  • the feelings your family may have around difficult behaviours
  • understanding the process behind changing behaviours
  • exploring ways of finding support
  • sharing and learning from other parents.

The course is run informally with usually only around 8 participants so parents can feel at ease talking and learning about this difficult subject.

Some of the comments from parents who have attended:

  • "It was useful and gave me an insight into how to cope with challenging behaviour"
  • "Very valuable. I feel more equipped with confidence and strategies. the content was very thorough."
  • "The way the whole aspect of challenging behaviour and management can be broken down into strategies and phases instead of one big, daunting problem, really helped."
  • "Very good technical and practical knowledge, real life examples."

Currently due to funding issues there are no future course dates from September 2011- July 2012.  If you would like to be notified if new dates are added please register your interest by e mailing us.

If new courses are published:
